Day 16: Tuesday April 28th

Immanuel, God with us. I find so much comfort in that promise. No longer do we have to go to a priest to talk to God, but through Christ, the God of the universe is with me. Constantly.

"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" -- which means, "God with us." -Matthew 1:23

This concept also reminds me of when God spoke to Moses telling him "I am." God is not confined to our way of thinking or limitations. He always was and always is. And best of all, He has chosen and promised to always be with us. How incredibly comforting.

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." - Colossians 2:6-7

Even though Christ is always with us, I tend to get busy and forget to spend time enjoying his presence. I love how this verse specifically says "continue to live in him."

Do you forget to continue to live in Him?

How do you take intentional time to live in Christ on a daily basis?

Even on difficult days, are you thankful?

I pray for you today to find peace in His promise to always be with us and that you are challenged to continually live in his presence.
