I thought two things after reading today's devotion:
1. I just want to hit the pause button on life and take time to praise God for who He is and what He has done for me, because it is utterly amazing and leaves me with no other response than gratitude and PRAISE!
2. I struggle so much with a lack of confidence and a lack of security and I can see so clearly that struggle comes from striving to "save myself" instead of resting in what God has done for me and provided for me: HIMSELF and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!
So I decided from these two thoughts I am going to spend time today praising God and reflecting on who He is and what He has done for me. I challenge you to do the same.
Here are some scriptures for reflection:
I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
