Day 32: Thursday, May 14th
I have found the most comfort in my life in the truth that God is always with me. There was a season of my life when I was living in complete fear. The fear was so intense because I believed a lie that when certain things happened to me, God was not with me. I truly felt separated from Him and it only grew the fear.
Then I read the following scripture in Isaiah 43:2:
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
I realized that in those moments that I thought God was not there: He was! All of a sudden I was able to face all of these difficult circumstances because I knew the truth that God was with me in each one!

Scripture for reflection:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money." Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that." James 4:13-15
