Alpha at True North Church

Looking for community? Alpha is a safe, judgment-free space to explore life, faith, and meaning. Share a meal, hear a short talk, and join an honest conversation where every voice matters.

Alpha is a week-by-week commitment. If you can't make it some nights, that's fine!

What's Alpha at True North Like?

When you arrive at Alpha, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and a seat at the table. We start each evening by sharing a meal together—it’s relaxed, family-style, and a chance to get to know others without pressure. After dinner, we’ll listen to a short, thought-provoking talk designed to spark conversation about life and faith.

Then comes the best part: open discussion. You’ll be in a small group where everyone’s voice matters, and there’s no such thing as a bad question. You don’t have to agree with anyone, and you’ll never be put on the spot. The environment is casual, friendly, and designed so you can show up as yourself.

Alpha is more than a program—it’s a safe space to explore, connect, and feel heard.

Michael

I have found a home away from home at Alpha at True North. I had no idea what to expect, I just showed up and now I couldn't be more thankful. This has become something I look forward to every Monday!

Matt

Walking into Alpha felt easy—people were kind, the conversations were real, and I never felt judged. It quickly became the highlight of my week and a place where I could be myself.

Laura

At first, I wasn’t sure if Alpha was for me, but from the very first night I felt welcomed. Sharing a meal, asking honest questions, and hearing different perspectives has been life-giving.

Fall 2025 Topics

Each week at Alpha we’ll dive into some of life’s biggest questions—the ones we all wonder about but don’t always have a safe place to ask. These topics are designed to spark curiosity, invite honest conversation, and open the door to exploring faith in a fresh way.

Creation &
Science

Can faith and science really go hand in hand? In this session, we’ll explore how the wonders of creation and the discoveries of science intersect, and what that means for how we see the world.

The Bible is Outdated, Why Trust It?

Is the Bible just an old book with no relevance today? In this session, we’ll look at why people still trust it, how it speaks into modern life, and why it continues to shape history and faith.

Ask Me
Anything

What have you always wanted to ask a pastor but never had the chance? In this session, you’ll get an open Q&A with a pastor—no topic is off-limits, and every question is welcome.

Jesus: Liar, Lunatic,
or Lord?

Who was Jesus, really? Some say He was a liar, others a lunatic, and still others believe He is Lord. In this session, we’ll wrestle with this question, explore the evidence, and consider what the facts tell us.

Christianity & Its Misconceptions

Is Christianity really what people say it is? In this session, we’ll unpack common misconceptions about faith, separate myth from truth, and explore what Christianity is actually all about.
